Adrenaline Motorsport of Newquay, Cornwall, has developed a kit car it calls AMS1 on the underpinnings of 1992-2000 donor Imprezas; these are stripped out to weigh just 1980lbs, down from the original cars’ 2970lbs. With the 2.0-litre, 260bhp engine, the AMS1 is good for 0-60mph in four seconds and a top speed of 150mph; an even quicker speedster version with no roof and a fly-screen in place of a windscreen will also be offered.
