Let the modding continue
On my last write-up, I was considering doing a couple things. I decided to get rid of some of the slop in my suspension because my car was rolling a lot on sharp turns. I decided to add a Perrin Rear Swaybar and Perrin Rear Endlinks. Adding the rear swaybar is the best mod I have done so far and it was very cheap for the results I received. It improved my cars handling an unbelievable amount and the car does not feel sloppy when cornering compared to before.
I have decided that whatever I do to my car, I’m going to try to keep it as hidden as possible. In a sense, I’m building a sleeper to a non car-enthusiast. I met up with a guy with a wingless trunk after posting on craigslist and a couple forums multiple times and we traded trunks in the middle of the street in San Francisco. (I wonder why everyone was staring at us!) The next step to making my car a sleeper is to go back to stock exhaust. I sold my Helix Catback and also got a stock exhaust in the deal. I plan on putting an electric exhaust cutout in the rear section of a two piece downpipe so that when I head to the track, I can just flip a switch and have a straight pipe exhaust.

I then added the new +1 SubyDude short shifter. After grinding the plate around the shifter down, it was a simple install. The shifter is adjustable, so you can change the throw of the shifter to your liking (adjustable from stock throw to 65% shorter). It’s easier to shift fast now to keep the power going to the wheels. By adding the new +1 SubyDude short shifter, my WRX is now easier and more comfortable to shift quickly.

In the near future, I plan on installing the following on:
Downpipe
Uppipe
Electric Exhaust Cutout
AccessPort
I’m also trying to decide whether I want to get coilovers and a big brake kit or get a VF34 setup.
